SOCCER CENTRAL: at Florida

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The 9^th-ranked Tennessee Volunteers travel to Gainesville, Fla. to take on Southeastern Conference preseason favorite Florida on Thursday. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at the Donald R. Dizney Stadium.

LAST TIME OUT: The Vols (9-1-1, 3-1 SEC) picked up their third-straight SEC victory last Friday at Kentucky, defeating the Wildcats 3-1 behind a hat trick from senior forward Bunny Shaw.

SHAW NABS SEC WEEKLY HONORS: With her second-career hat trick at Kentucky, Bunny Shaw was named the SEC Offensive Player of the Week for the first time this season. It was the fourth SEC weekly award of Shaw's career.

BACK IN THE TOP 10: Riding a three-match win streak in conference play, Tennessee bumped up to No. 9 in the latest installment of the United Soccer Coaches poll. That ranking matches the highest for UT this season, as the Vols were also chosen 9^th on Sept. 4.

BUNNY REJOINS REGGAE GIRLZ: Bunny Shaw will head to Edinburg, Texas this week for the final round of Women's World Cup Qualifying with the Jamaican National Team. The CONCACAF Women's Gold Cup Finals will take place from Oct. 4 - Oct. 17, with the top-three confederations earning an automatic bid to the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup.

Jamaica opens the tournament against Canada on Friday, Oct. 5. Shaw leads all players worldwide with 16 goals across eight World Cup qualifying matches.

SERIES HISTORY: The Vols are 8-18-3 all-time against the Gators, with a 2-10 record on the road since the series began in 1996. Tennessee last defeated Florida in the 2014 SEC Tournament, advancing on penalty kicks 5-4 following a 1-1 draw in Orange Beach, Ala.

LAST MATCHUP: UT narrowly fell to Florida 2-1 on Senior Day in 2017 in front of a crowd of 2,411 at Regal Soccer Stadium. Anna Bialczak equalized a 1-0 deficit in the 63^rd minute, but Florida's Briana Solis' tallied the match-winner with 10 minutes remaining in the second half.

UP NEXT: Tennessee returns home Sunday, Oct. 7 for a nationally televised matchup with the SEC-leading Vanderbilt Commodores. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. at Regal Soccer Stadium, and the match will be aired on ESPNU.
