KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The No. 21 Tennessee women's golf team is set to make its 13th appearance at the NCAA Women's Golf Championships at Eugene Country Club (par 72, 6,331 yards) in Eugene, Oregon. The competition begins Friday, May 20 and runs through Wednesday, May 25. This year, the tournament is hosted by the University of Oregon.

Roster Schedule LIVE STATSTennessee will compete as a team with its starting five: Anna Newell, Shannon Brooks, Hannah Pietila, Lucia Polo and Blakesly Warren. The Vols recently finished in fifth place at the Shoal Creek Regional and in her first NCAA tournament appearance, freshman Shannon Brooks tied for 15th place with a 12-over 228.
Twenty-four teams and 12 individuals not on advancing teams from the NCAA Regionals were selected for the Championship.
The teams participating, in order of ranking, include: Alabama (1), Southern California (2), UCLA (3), Florida (4), Duke (5), Georgia (6), Northwestern (7), Oklahoma State (8), Arizona (10), Arkansas (11), Stanford (12), Washington (13), Virginia (15), Florida State (16), South Carolina (18), Furman (19), Oregon (20), Tennessee (21), Texas (24), Ohio State (25), Brigham Young (26), Miami-FL (33), North Carolina (38) and Michigan (47).

Tournament Tee Times
The Volunteers will tee off for the first round at 10:30 a.m. ET from the first hole and will be playing with No. 19 Furman and No. 20 Oregon. In the second round, UT will tee off at 3:00 p.m. ET.
Sophomore Blakesly Warren will lead off the Orange and White in the first round, heading to the No. 1 tee at 10:30 a.m. ET.
NCAA Championship veteran Lucia Polo tees off following Brooks at 10:41 a.m. ET.
Hannah Pietila will hit her first drive of the round at 10:52 a.m. ET, followed by freshman Shannon Brooks at 11:03 a.m. ET.
No. 36-ranked Anna Newell is the final Vol to head to the tee box, hitting her first shot of the tournament at 11:14 a.m. ET.
Tournament Format
In the second year of the modified format, 24 teams and 12 individuals will compete in 54 holes of stroke play (Friday, May 20 through Sunday, May 22). Following the 54 holes of competition, the top 15 teams and top nine individuals not on an advancing team will advance for one additional day of stroke play (Monday, May 23) to determine the top eight teams for match play competition and the 72-hole stroke play individual champion.
The top eight teams after 72 holes will be placed into a bracket with the number 1 seed playing the number 8 seed, the number 2 seed playing the number 7 seed, the number 3 seed playing the number 6 seed and the number 4 seed playing the number 5 seed.
In the match play format, each hole is its own competition. The player with the fewest strokes on an individual hole wins that respective hole. The player that wins the most holes wins the match. The team that wins the most matches, three out of five, will win as a team and advance.
Match Play Quarterfinals will begin at 10:00 a.m. ET on Tuesday, May 24. The top four teams will advance to the Match Play Semifinals held at 4:30 p.m on the same day. The top two teams will then compete in the Match Play Finals on Wednesday, May 25 starting at 5:10 p.m. ET.
Golf Channel Coverage
There will be live tournament coverage of the NCAA Women's Golf Championship beginning on Monday, May 23 at 6:00 p.m. ET to crown the individual national champion, as well as track the teams attempting to qualify for the eight-team match-play tournament. Golf Channel will provide coverage of all three rounds of match play.

- The Volunteers' 2016 NCAA Women's Golf Championship appearance marks the program's 13th appearance, 11th under the direction of Head Coach Judi Pavon.
- No. 21 Tennessee finished in fifth place at the Shoal Creek Regional with a score of 912.
- Lucia Polo was honored as the SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
- Anna Newell earned First Team All-SEC honors after a standout sophomore campaign.
- Shannon Brooks earned All-Freshman Team accolades from the SEC.
- Teleri Hughes was named to the SEC Community Service Team.
- Newell earned medalist honors at the 2015 Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown with her NCAA-record setting score of 198 (-18).
- The Orange and White have 11 top-10 finishes, including three in the top five, this season.
