MEN'S COMPETITION
- The Tennessee men travel to Auburn as the nation's 14th-ranked team according to the latest USTFCCCA computer rankings.
- UT will have 17 members of its men's squad in action over the weekend, three of which will compete in the opening proceedings on Friday night.
- The duo of Carson Frost and Deon McAdoo are slated to compete in the men's hammer throw competition at 3 p.m. ET while newcomer Anthony Simpson puts the finishing touches on the evening in the 5000 meter run at 9:15 p.m.
- On Saturday, a busy day begins with the men's discus ( Tavis Bailey and Matthew Zajac) at 1 p.m. Jalen Hunter opens things on the track in the 110-meter hurdles at 2:15 p.m. and will be followed by Christian Coleman in the 100-meter dash prelims at 2:35 p.m.
- Tennessee produces a crowded field in the men's pole vault as Jake Blankenship, Michael Maira, and Tyler Porter are all set to compete on Saturday at 3 p.m.
- UT's day closes at 4:45 p.m. as Coleman and Hunter are joined by Malik Elion and Nathan Strother in the 200-meter dash.
- At last tally, the Tennessee men enter the weekend with nine individuals in qualifying position for the Regional Championships at the end of May. Those nine athletes stretch over nine events.

WOMEN'S COMPETITION
- Seven representatives from the Tennessee women's squad will also be in action in Auburn over the weekend.
- Maria Jimenez and Brielyn Rogers compete on Friday night at 5 p.m. in the javelin and triple jump, respectively.
- Saturday starts with Erin Champion in the pole vault at 12 p.m., while Tennessee Relays Tony Wilson Award winner Felicia Brown makes her weekend debut in the prelims of the 100-meter dash at 2:25 p.m.
- The final event of the weekend, the 200-meter dash, gets underway at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday and features Brown, Rogers, London Freeland, and Megan Linder.
- Eight UT women are presently in qualifying position for the NCAA East Regionals in Jacksonville, Florida. Ten different events are represented by those eight athletes as both Felicia Brown and Felecia Majors could qualify in three events each. UT's top 4x100-meter relay team (45.23) is also in qualifying position for Regionals.
LAST TIME OUT
- Playing host to the 49th Tennessee Relays Powered by Sea Ray, the Tennessee track and field team racked up five event victories, 12 new PRs, 16 top-five finishes, and 28 top-10 finishes over the course of the three-day meet.
- Junior sprinter Felicia Brown stole the headline of the weekend as she was given the annual Tony Wilson Award for outstanding women's track performance following a string of races that saw her help UT to three wins.
- Brown's weekend began on Friday when she earned her first career win in the 100-meter dash, posting a wind-aided time of 11.31 (+3.9). That mark catapulted her up to No. 2 overall in the 100m on the NCAA performance list. Brown earned victories No. 2 and 3 on Saturday, first helping the UT 4x100-meter relay team to a victory with a time of 45.23. Brown ran the anchor leg in that win. The Lithonia, Georgia, native capped her weekend with the top spot in the 200-meter dash invitational, which she finished in a season-best time of 23.42.
- UT's two other wins on the weekend came in the men's field events as Tavis Bailey won the men's discus invitational for the second year running and Jake Blankenship claimed the top spot in the men's pole vault invite.
- Bailey's winning distance of 193 feet (58.84) marked a new season-best and Blankenship earned his fifth outdoor pole vault victory after clearing 18 feet, one inch (5.51).
- Other notable performances from the weekend include: Kyle Walter's fifth-place finish in the 5000m in a time of 14:22.25, which beats his previous PR by almost 30 seconds; Christian Coleman's career-best 20.73 in the 200-meter dash invitational, which ranks fourth in the SEC; Bailey's fourth-place finish in a highly competitive shot put field behind a mark of 61 feet, 5.50 inches (18.73); Brielyn Rogers' 10th place finish in the heptathlon (4357) as she became UT's first women's athlete to compete in the heptathlon since 2008.

UP NEXT
- Next week Tennessee makes the trip to the historic and prestigious Penn Relays in Philadelphia. The Relays run April 23-25 and UT is currently slated to compete in 20 events over the weekend.
