"Last night we decided to make some changes offensively. We had (Katherine) Card showing bunt so she could see the ball longer and it worked. We also had people moving around in the box and we made some two-strike adjustments.
(on Katherine Card) "There's something about her in big games. In last year's regional she hit a two-run homer and in the World Series she had the hit to beat Arizona. You don't hear a whole lot about her until it's a crucial game and then she gets it done.
(on Monica Abbott) "First let me say that I think the (All-SEC) voting was right on for the first team. But I do think that Monica was miffed about that and it put her on a mission because she had to beat the two first-team selections in this tournament. I think that's why she pitched well."

"We knew coming into today that it would be a tough game, especially a tough pitcher's duel with Emily (Turner). I definitely struggled in (conference) play this year but I felt like I had something to prove. I wanted to show the other teams and coaches what I am."

"This is a game of momentum. We had that one inning (bottom of the fifth) blow up for us. Tennessee ran back into the dugout with a lot of momentum. That was a golden opportunity for us. The bottom line is that Tennessee got it done and we didn't.
"Obviously, Emily didn't throw as well as she did last Sunday against them. She didn't throw as well as she did earlier this weekend. Her change-up wasn't as dominant and they were getting a lot of balls in play. Abbott was really good. She had her change-up working and baffled us.
"For all but one inning, we played very well all weekend."

"It's very disappointing. It's very disappointing to stand here and watch that team in orange take away the trophy.
"We worked so hard to get here. We worked hard all season to get to this point. We were pumped out at the start of the game, and we stayed pumped out the entire game. Even at the end, we didn't give up and we thought we would be able to pull it out.
"Tennessee is an amazing team and so is Abbott. If you don't jump on her early, it's very tough to beat her."
