LADY VOL TENNIS PLAYERS COMPLETE PLAY AT THE ITA REGIONALS

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The University of Tennessee Lady Vol tennis team saw its play at the Wilson ITA Regional Tournament conclude in Saturday's action with a pair of losses.
The doubles team of sophomores Victoria Jones (Tyne & Wear, U.K. / South Tyneside College) and Blakeley Griffith (Middlesburg, Va. / Loudoun County H.S.) fell to Caroline Bentley and Mary Hagood of Furman by a 8-6 count. In singles play, Maharaj, the sixth seed, fell to Karin Coetzee of Wake Forest in a Round of 16 match, 6-2, 6-1.
Earlier in the singles bracket, Jones had advanced to the second round while Griffith fell in her first round match.
The Lady Vols are next in action at the SEC Coaches Tournament in Peachtree City, Ga., from Nov. 4-7.
