2019 TRACK & FIELD
Indoor- Competed at the SEC Indoor Championships (2/23) and finished 14th in the 800m prelims in a time of 1:53.52
- Raced the 800m at the Clemson Tiger Paw Invitational (2/9) and finished in 1:55.42
- Ran the fastest 800m of his career at the Carolina Challenge with a time of 1:51.94
- Took second place at the Tennessee-Indiana Duals in the 800m, clocking a personal-best 1:54.20 in his season debut
- Raced in the 800m at the SEC Outdoor Championships (5/11) and finished 18th during the prelims in 1:53.99
- Wrapped up the regular outdoor season with a 1:56.64 finish in the 800m at the Virginia Challenge (4/20)
- Ran in two events at the Tennessee Relays (4/13) including the 800m (1:55.14) and the DMR (9:53.50)
- Ran the 800m and finished with a time of 1:53.99 at the Stanford Invitational (3/30)
- Opened up the outdoor season with a personal-best time of 4:03.22 in the 1500m along with a fifth-place finish in the 4x400 relay (3:18.82) at the Power 5 Trailblazer Challenge (3/23)
2018 CROSS COUNTRY
- Ran two meets during the season, recording career bests in the 4 mile (22:40.68 in home dual vs. Louisville) and the 8K (26:25.94 at the UAB Blazer Classic)
2018 TRACK & FIELD
Indoor- At Clemson's Tiger Paw Invite (2/9-10), finished 26th in both the 800m (1:56.06) and the mile (4:35.11)
- Placed 15th in 1:56.02 in 800m at Clemson's Bob Pollock Invitational
- Ran 1:57.46 in 800m to finish 11th at the UAB Vulcan Invite (1/13)
- Took sixth in the mile (4:32.21) at the Indiana-Tennessee Dual (1/6)
- Made UT indoor track debut at Hoosier Open (12/8), placing ninth in the 1000m in 2:33.28
- Ran a personal best time of 1:54.18 and placed fifth in the 800m at the Tennessee Challenge (5/5)
2017 CROSS COUNTRY
- Placed 23rd in the 4-mile race with a time of 23:41.39 at the Tennessee-Louisville Dual (9/2)
PRIOR TO TENNESSEE
- Competed at the New Balance Indoor Nationals
- Was part of the team that won the Indoor Tennessee State Championship in 2015
- Two-time Indoor All-State and five-time outdoor All-State honoree

- Jose Antonio Parrilla, son of Robyn Newman and Jose Parrilla, was born on Feb. 20, 1997
- Has two younger siblings named Miguel and Christina
- Majoring in kinesiology
- Competed at the New Balance Indoor Nationals
- Was part of the team that won the Indoor Tennessee State Championship in 2015
- Two-time Indoor All-State and five-time outdoor All-State honoree
- His father Jose "Tony" Parrilla was a four-time NCAA Champion at Tennessee and qualified for the 1992 and 1996 Olympics in the 800m
