 - As one of her hobbies is singing, Akamine was a jazz band vocalist and a member of the choir at Escondido H.S and leads fellowship at 'The Connection' in Poway, Calif.
 - Lists her superstition as drawing an 'X' in front of home plate before each at-bat
 - Cites her favorite vacation destination as Yellowstone National Park
