- Member of the National Honor Society, National English Honors Society and National Science Honors Society in high school
- In eighth grade, she wrote a letter for a "time capsule" assignment and mentioned in that letter she wanted to play softball at the University of Tennessee
- Her paternal grandfather earned a Ph.D from UT, and she has a cousin who currently attends UT
- Grew up watching Lady Vol softball after living in Knoxville for part of her childhood
