- Tabbed the Sandy’s Spiel GHSA 3A Freshman of the Year and an Atlanta Journal-Constitution 3A Second Team All-State pick after averaging 13.8 points per game, aiding his team to a 3A state finals appearance.
- Competed at the AAU level with both Nightrydas Elite on the Nike EYBL circuit and with the Atlanta Celtics on the adidas 3SSB circuit.
- Was averaging approximately 15.0 points per game in Nike EYBL play during his final AAU summer before suffering hamstring injuries.

- Favorite athlete is Kevin Durant, a Rick Barnes protégé, because he considers him one of the greatest players ever.
- Best sports memory is hitting a game-winning shot in a middle school playoff contest.
- Wears No. 1 because he has always loved it since he was a little kid, as he looked up to Cam Newton.
- Committed to Tennessee over Alabama, Auburn, Cal, Georgia Tech and South Florida.
- Chose Tennessee because he felt like the school would help him change his life and become a great man.
- Follows 22 previous Volunteer letter winners from Georgia, including two of the program’s top six all-time scorers in Dale Ellis (1979-83) and fellow Cedar Grove graduate Reggie Johnson (1976-80), both of whom were three-time First Team All-SEC honorees and two-time All-Americans, as well as three players from Rick Barnes’ first Tennessee team (2015-16).
