Track Central: Tyson Invitational

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Forty-eight Tennessee track & field athletes are set to compete this weekend as UT closes out the regular indoor season at the Tyson Invitational, hosted Friday and Saturday, Feb. 13–14, inside the University of Arkansas' Randal Tyson Track Center.
Tennessee will contest 28 university and championship events across the two-day meet. Action begins Friday at 1 p.m. ET with the men's university 60-meter hurdles and concludes Saturday at approximately 5:10 p.m. ET with the women's championship 4x400-meter relay. Live results will be available throughout the meet via Flash Results, where start lists are currently posted.
Running events from the Tyson Invitational will be streamed live on SEC Network+, beginning at 5 p.m. ET on Friday and 1 p.m. ET on Saturday.
STRONG FIELD: Tennessee enters the weekend with a pair of top-10 nationally ranked squads, as the Vols sit No. 2 and the Lady Vols are ranked No. 10 in the latest USTFCCCA national rankings. UT brings two of 24 top-25 programs set to compete at the Tyson Invitational.

UT recorded two additional NCAA top-10 marks on Saturday, highlighted by sophomore JL Van Rensburg's personal-best 19.83 meters (65-0.75) in the men's shot put (No. 3 NCAA) and a season-best 8.06 from graduate student Myreanna Bebe to win the women's 60-meter hurdles in Chicago (No. 6 NCAA).
RANKINGS UPDATE: Tennessee men's track & field was ranked No. 2 in the latest installment of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Track & Field Rating Index (TFRI), while the Lady Vols were ranked No. 10 in the country.
Additionally, the Vols and Lady Vols have totaled 22 marks that currently rank top 16 on the NCAA Division I national qualifying list this season:
