ATHENS, Ga. – The 16th-ranked Tennessee men's tennis team is set for its first SEC road contest, taking on No. 54 Georgia at 1 p.m. ET on Monday at Dan Magill Tennis Complex.

LAST TIME OUT
Tennessee (9-3) dropped its conference home opener against No. 26 Mississippi State, 4-3. The Bulldogs were able to earn the doubles point, earning winning decisions on the first two finishing matches.
Courts four, five and six proved decisive in singles, with Mississippi State taking each of those matches to secure a victory. Shunsuke Mitsui, Alex Kotzen, and Jose Garcia earned victories in the top spots of the lineup for the Big Orange.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
Georgia (5-4) is riding a two-match win streak coming into Monday's action. This will mark the first conference of their young season, following a program that made the NCAA Tournament last season.
The Bulldogs have six individuals who are ranked in the latest ITA National Rankings. Thomas Paulsell, Miguel Perez Pena, Ryan Colby, Niels Ratiu, Freddy Blaydes and Oscar Pinto Sansano are the six individuals who are slotted in singles or doubles for Georgia.
Last year, these two teams faced off to open SEC play, with the Vols taking home a 6-1 decision at Goodfriend Tennis Center. Georgia holds a 67-37-1 advantage over Tennessee in the all-time series, with UT winning six out of the last 10 matches.
