#11/13 Tennessee Falls to LSU, 2-0, in the SEC Tournament Quarterfinals

PENSACOLA, Fla. — The No. 11/13 Tennessee soccer team dropped its SEC Tournament quarterfinal match against LSU, 2-0, Tuesday night at the Ashton Brosnaham Soccer Complex.Â
After a scoreless first half, LSU (12-5-3) broke through just over a minute into the second frame when Morgan Witz found the net off assists from Jazmin Ferguson and Ava Galligan in the 47th minute. The Tigers struck again less than two minutes later, as Ida Hermannsdottir doubled the lead in the 49th minute from a Galligan assist.
Tennessee (12–3–3) generated pressure throughout the night, earning 10 corner kicks to LSU's three. The Lady Vols produced 18 total shots and three on target but were unable to break through.Â
Goalkeeper Cayden Norris made four saves in goal for Tennessee, which brings her season total to 45. Offensively, Devin Davis led the Vols with three shots, while Kennedy Price and Reese Mattern added two apiece off the bench.
