XC Central: 2025 NCAA South Region Championships

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — The Tennessee men's and women's cross country programs will continue postseason action this week in Huntsville, Alabama, lining up for the 2025 NCAA South Region Championships on Friday, Nov. 14. The regional meet will begin at 9:30 a.m. ET from the John Hunt Cross Country Course.
Coverage on ESPN+ will begin at 9:30 a.m. ET with the women's championship 6,000-meter. Following the women's race, the men's championship 10,000-meter is slated for 10:30 a.m. ET.
Live results will be provided throughout the meet via Delta Timing Group.
LAST TIME OUT: Tennessee earned a pair of top-10 finishes at the 2025 SEC Championships on its home course. The No. 27 Lady Vols placed seventh in the women's 6k race with 192 points, edging Kentucky by a single point. Freshman Mary Nyaboke Ogwoka continued her stellar debut campaign, earning All-SEC honors with a ninth-place finish in 20:10.5. Veterans Andie-Marie Jones, Summer Schuster, Jaci Sievers and Amelia Wills provided steady support to round out Tennessee's scoring lineup.
On the men's side, the Vols finished ninth overall with 187 points behind a balanced effort led by sophomore Ethan Edgeworth, who placed 25th in 24:04.7. Freshman Ty Steorts, redshirt freshman Hudson Betts, and sophomore Zouhair Redouane all finished inside the top 45 to pace a young Tennessee squad.
RANKINGS UPDATE: In the latest installment of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) regional rankings, the Lady Vols were slotted third in South Region while the men's squad was tabbed No. 4.
UP NEXT: Teams that finish first and second at the 10 regional competitions will automatically advance their squad to the 2025 NCAA Cross Country Championships, set for Saturday, Nov. 22, in Columbia, Missouri. Eleven additional men's and women's teams will earn at-large bids to the national meet, while the top four individual finishers from non-qualifying teams in each region will also advance to the national stage.
