Preview: Swim & Dive Host Auburn & Louisville in First Home Meet of Season

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee swim and dive program hosts its first meet of the season, with Louisville and Auburn coming to the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center. The Cardinals women's team enters the competition as ranked No. 7 in the country, while their men's team is ranked No. 12. Auburncomes into the meet with both their teams No. 20 overall.
Admission is free for all regular season meets, and the clear-bag policy will be in place for all fans. Parking will be available in Lot SC40 off Kingston Pike near Tyson Park. Fans can stream the meet on SEC Network+, with live results available on Meet Mobile.
Doors open at 11:30 a.m., with the diving events starting at 12:30 p.m. At 2 p.m., the swimming competitions will begin. The full event schedule can be found below.
The Lady Vols come into the meet after falling to No. 2 Texas to open the season. Camille Spink got her season started with a win in the 50 Free and second place in the 100 Free. McKenzie Siroky got her first win in the 100 Breast, while Ella Jansen earned second place finishes in 200 Fly, 200 Free, and 400 IM. Jansen's time in the 200 Free of 1:43.48 also put her ninth all-time in program history.
On the diving side, Desharne Bent-Ashmeil got her first appearance for the Lady Vols off to a strong start with second place finish in the 1-meter spring board and third in the 3-meter competition. Lynae Shorter earned a second place finish in the 3-meter competition, setting a personal best score of 323.48.
The men's side also dropped its season-opener at Texas. Gui Caribe was a part of three wins at the meet. Carive was joined by Pedro Sansone, Nikoli Blackman, and Kamal Muhammad with a first place finish in the 200 Free Relay. The team finished with a time of 1:16.19, setting the seventh-fastest time in program history. Caribe also earned wins in the 50 Free and 100 Free, while being joined on the podium in the 100 Free by Nikoli Blackman who earned a second place finish.
Gabe Nunziata set the fifth-fastest time in program history in the 200 Breast of 1:53.62 in his Tennessee debut. Koby Bujak-Upton also etched his name in the record books, with his time of 1:33.45 in the 200 Free clocking in as the sixth-best time in program history.
Knoxville-native Bennett Greene won the 1-meter springboard in Austin, finishing with a score of 388.95. The score allowed Greene to move to seventh all-time in program history, passing former NCAA Champion Jevon Tarantino. Frazer Tavener made his debut for the Vols, notching a second place finish in the 3-meter with a score of 407.70.
