NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The No. 3/4 Tennessee soccer team heads to the midstate for a Sunday matchup against the No. 21 Commodores.Â
Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. ET on ESPN2 with Mike Watts (PxP) and Paddy Foss (analyst) on the call.Â
UT (11-1-3) is coming off its seventh straight unbeaten result after tying Florida 0-0 Thursday night. Additionally, the Lady Vols have logged 12 shutouts on the season and are one shy of the program's single season record that was set in 2021.Â
The Big Orange currently sit in second in the SEC standings with 17 points and lead the conference in goals against average (.33) and shutouts (12).Â
MATCHUP HISTORY: Tennessee is 12-17-5 all-time against Vanderbilt and has gone unbeaten in its last three meetings. Last season, the Lady Vols and Dores tied 1-1 in Knoxville.Â
SCOUTING THE COMMODORES:Â Vandy is coming off a 5-1 win over Mississippi State in Starkville. VU notched its fourth straight SEC win and fifth victory in its last six matches. Additonally, Vanderbilt and Tennessee are the only teams in the SEC with at least 11 wins on the year. Vanderbilt has had 10 goal-scorers with Sydney Watts leading the pack with 10. Vandy also has 12 players with one or more assists and have logged 27 assists on the year. Defensively, the Dores have allowed only eight goals on the year and have secured nine shutouts.
