Six Lady Vols Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

College Sports Communicators announced this week that six members of the Tennessee soccer team were named to the 2024 CSC Academic All-District Team, as part of its women's soccer division.
Sarah Bridenstine, Ally Brown, Mac Midgley, Kennedy Price, Jenna Stayart and Ally Zazzara were all recognized for their performances in the classroom and on the pitch.Â
The Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.50 GPA an have played in at least 90% of their team's contests from the current season.
Bridenstine, who started all 20 matches, finished the 2024 season with two assists and was a mainstay on a Lady Vol defense that registered eight shutouts throughout the season. The Rochester, Michigan, native is now a two-time CSC Academic All-District honoree, also having earned the award in 2022. Bridenstine is currently pursuing a master's degree in communication and information.
Brown, who anchored the Tennessee backline, finished the season with a goal and pair of assists. Additionally, the College Grove, Tennessee, native played a team-high 1,800 minutes and started in 20 contests, averaging 90 minutes per game. The Third Team All-SEC selection is double-majoring in finance and supply chain management.
Midgley capped off her junior campaign with four goals (two of which were game-winners) and two assists. The Wolverine Lake, Michigan, native started in all 20 matches and created 12 chances. Midgley, who was also a tabbed a Third Team All-SEC honoree, is pursuing a bachelor's degree in marketing.
Price notched two goals and an assist during the 2024 season while also starting each match. The Franklin, Tennessee, native's best performance of the year came against Alabama when she scored her first collegiate goal and assisted on the second goal to secure the point on the road. Price is currently majoring in public health.
Stayart appeared in every game of the season while starting three. The junior's lone goal of the season came when she found the back of the net against Auburn. Stayart is majoring in marketing with a collateral in supply chain management.
Zazzara currently sits 10th all-time in program history with 123 saves after registering 52 on the season. The Woodstock, Georgia, native posted six clean sheets this season and is set to wrap up her bachelor's of science in mechanical engineering next fall.
