Women's Golf Central: Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The Tennessee women's golf team is set to tee off at home in its fourth event of the season, hosting the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship.
The tournament, which is in its 27th year of existence, consists of three total rounds — teeing off with 18 holes on Friday, followed by 18 holes apiece on Saturday and Sunday.
The event is set to be held at Cherokee Country Club, a premier recreational and social club beloved by the Knoxville Community for over a century.
Last time out, the Lady Vols notched a fifth-place team finish at the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational.
Bailey Davis earned a fifth place finish, firing a second-round 6-under 64 to tie for the eighth-best 18-hole round in program history. Manassanan Chotikabhukkana and Kyra Van Kan tied for 15th place to clinch top-15 finishes.

Bailey Davis
Davis is coming off consecutive top-10 finishes at the Cougar Classic and Cavalier Regional Preview with a top-5 finish at the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational. The senior currently holds a 73.25 scoring average through three tournaments and has also recorded six rounds of par or better.
Manassanan Chotikabhukkana
Chotikabhukkana tied for 15th at the Cavalier Regional Preview alongside teammate Kyra Van Kan. The junior now has her second top-15 outing of the season.
Kyra Van Kan
In just her third collegiate event, the freshman tied for 15th at the Cavalier Regional
Preview. Van Kan has placed inside the top-20 in just three collegiate starts, holding a 72.44 scoring average.
Sophie Bierstorfer
In her second tournament as a Lady Vol, Bierstorfer tied for 54th at the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational.
Sofie Engeseth
Engeseth competed individually at the Cavalier Regional Preview where she tied for 25th after shooting 9-over.

Christoher is set to compete individually. The freshman's best round of the season came in round two at the Cougar Classic when she fired a 71.
Martina Lopez-Lanchares
In the first start of her sophomore season, Lopez-Lanchares tied for 58th at the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational. She holds a 73.89 career scoring average.
