EARLYSVILLE, Va. – Tennessee rowing concludes its regular season this weekend, as the 19th-ranked Lady Vols take on No. 9 Virginia and North Carolina on the Rivanna Reservoir at the Virginia Invitational.

In the first session of the day, Tennessee will face off against host UVA in the 3V8 race beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Lady Vol's 2V4 is next on the water against the Cavaliers at 10:50 a.m. The 1V4, 2V8 and 1V8 will race at 11:10 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 11:50 a.m., respectively.

For the afternoon session, the Big Orange will go head-to-head with North Carolina. The 3V8 boat will start off the session at 1:40 p.m. Tennessee's 2V4 is second on the water versus the Tar Heels at 2 p.m. The 1V4, 2V8 and 1V8 will race at 2:20 p.m., 2:40 p.m. and 3 p.m., respectively.

Last weekend, the Lady Vols notched an impressive performance at the Lake Wheeler Invitational. The regatta was highlighted by the 2V8 posting a 14-1 record and notching a 6:27.189 time on Friday morning that was faster than 14 of the first varsity eights. For the second time this season, the Tennessee 2V8 crew was named the Big 12 Boat of the Week by league coaches.

The 1V4 boat also gathered a victory at the Lake Wheeler Invitational last weekend, clocking a 7:37.863 time. The mark was the fastest of the Saturday morning first varsity four races, beating out efforts from every ranked foe: No. 8 Penn (7:51.091), No. 9 Syracuse (7:44.355), No. 14 Duke (7:38.425) and No. 19 Iowa (7:41.676). For this regatta, the crew finished with a 12-3 record.
