Zazzara Named College Soccer News Women's National Player of the Week

Redshirt-sophomore Ally Zazzara has been named the College Soccer News Women's National Player of the Week following her performance at No. 17 Xavier where she recorded a career-high 15 saves to secure the 1-0 victory in double overtime in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday.
Zazzara played the full 110 minutes in goal to earn the shutout. Her 15 saves tied the program record set by Sarah Shivley against No. 8 Florida on Nov. 7, 1996.
The Georgia native has seen action in every contest this season, starting eight matches and recording 51 saves.
With the win over fourth-seeded Xavier, UT advanced to the NCAA Round of 32 for the 10th time in program history. The Lady Vols will travel to 15th-ranked and fifth-seeded Nebraska on Friday for an 8 p.m. ET contest.
