Tennessee Softball Fall Schedule Update

Tennessee softball head coach Karen Weekly has announced numerous changes to the program's 2022 fall schedule.
This weekend, the Lady Vols are set to host a pair of in-state foes, welcoming Tennessee Tech and Tusculum to Sherri Parker Lee Stadium on Friday and Saturday, respectively. First pitch against the TTU Golden Eagles will take place under the Friday night lights at 7 p.m. ET, while UT's meeting with the Tusculum Pioneers is set for a 2 p.m. start—pushed back one hour due to the forecast of inclement weather Saturday morning.
Next week, Tennessee will host a three-team tournament with Duke and Carson-Newman visiting Rocky Top. The Lady Vols and Blue Devils will square off Saturday, Oct. 8 at 3:30 p.m. for UT's lone Power 5 matchup of the fall. On Sunday, Duke and Carson-Newman will play at noon before the Lady Vols wrap up the weekend against the Eagles at approximately 2:30 p.m.
For the Oct. 8 matchup against Duke, Tennessee softball has partnered with Smokey's Pantry to put on a Goods Drive. Fans are encouraged to bring personal hygiene items to donate to Smokey's Pantry, which services the students, faculty and staff of the University of Tennessee.
Tennessee's matchup with Chattanooga State has been rescheduled to Wednesday, Oct. 19 at 3 p.m. due to inclement weather.
One final change for the Lady Vols' fall slate will come Oct. 21 as Tennessee hosts an intrasquad Orange vs. Blue Scrimmage at Sherri Parker Lee. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m.
The fall finale against King University (Oct. 23, 4 p.m.) remains unchanged from the original schedule release.
Admission is free for all fall contests at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium. Gates will open one hour prior to first pitch. Restrooms will be open, but concessions will not be available for fall softball games.
