June 02, 2022 | Softball
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee junior outfielder Kiki Milloy has been named an All-American for the second consecutive season, receiving recognition from D1Softball and Softball America as a second team All-American outfielder. One of two SEC outfielders honored by both publications, Milloy started all 59 games in center field for the Big Orange and was UT's top threat at the plate throughout the 2022 campaign.
Â
The Woodinville, Washington, native led the Lady Vols in numerous offensive categories, posting a team-high .362 batting average, 1.128 OPS, 53 runs, 71 hits, 12 doubles, 15 home runs, 53 RBIs and 31 steals. She also topped the Tennessee lineup with 21 multi-hit and 16 multi-RBI games during her standout junior season.
Â
The Lady Vol captain was UT's top performer in postseason play, hitting 10-for-21 (.476) with multi-hit outings against Mississippi State (5/12), Campbell (5/20) and Oregon State (5/21). She was tabbed to the SEC All-Tournament Team and led Tennessee with six hits and five RBIs at the NCAA Knoxville Regional.
Â
Milloy has garnered a plethora of postseason recognition already, earning second team All-SEC and NFCA All-Southeast Region acclaim in addition to collecting Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Â
Through three seasons on Rocky Top, Milloy finds herself on Tennessee's career charts for home runs, stolen bases and slugging percentage. Her 31 career homers and 77 career steals rank eighth in school history, while her .626 career slugging percentage is the fifth highest by a Lady Vol.
Â
Tennessee rounded out the 2022 campaign with a 41-18 record and a 15-8 mark in conference play, good for a third-place finish in the SEC. The Lady Vols have won 40 or more games in 19 consecutive full seasons and have reached the NCAA Tournament every year since 2004.
