June 17, 2022 | Softball
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Coming off a stellar junior season for the Lady Vol softball program, outfielder Kiki Milloy will make her debut for the U.S. Women's National Team next week at the Canada Cup International Softball Championship. The competition features 12 teams from 10 different countries and runs June 18-26 in Surrey, British Columbia.
"Nothing compares to representing your country, and I know Kiki is honored and humbled by her selection," Tennessee head coach Karen Weekly said. "She is one of the most exciting players in the game. We're proud of her and all the work that has gone into reaching this goal, and I can't wait to see her compete for Team USA."
Recognized by D1Softball and Softball America as a second team All-American at the end of the 2022 season, Milloy started all 59 games for the Big Orange and led the Lady Vols in numerous offensive categories. The Woodinville, Washington, native posted a team-high .362 batting average, 1.128 OPS, 53 runs, 71 hits, 12 doubles, 15 home runs, 53 RBIs and 31 steals. She also topped the Tennessee lineup with 21 multi-hit and 16 multi-RBI games during her standout junior season.
Milloy will be one of five current or former Lady Vols competing at the 2022 Canada Cup and one of two Tennessee players representing a senior national team. Freshman pitcher Nicola Simpson was recently announced as a member of Canada Softball's WNT.
Additionally, two-time All-American LVFL Aubrey Leach (2016-19) and 2021 All-American Ashley Rogers will compete for TC Colorado, while incoming UT signee Charli Orsini will play for the Aussie Spirit Development Team.
