PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – The 19th-ranked Tennessee men's golf team recorded its fourth top-five team finish of the season Monday, wrapping up play at the Hayt Invitational with a fifth-place finish.

Tennessee shot its best round of the tournament during Monday's final round, shooting 8-under as a team. The Big Orange finished with a three-round total of 13-over 877.

The Vols' 8-under performance on Monday was largely in thanks to the strong finishes of Spencer Cross and Hunter Wolcott, who each shot 5-under during round three—Tennessee's two best individual rounds of the tournament. After the strong finish, the duo tied for 13th place overall.

It marks Wolcott's best finish of the season, while also standing as Cross' fifth top-20 finish this season. The 5-under round three marks Wolcott's best round this season and is tied for Cross' second-best round of the season.

Tyler Johnson was Tennessee's third top-25 finisher—carding a three-round total of 4-over and finishing tied for 23rd place. Johnson shot even par on Monday, his 13th round of par or better this season.

Bryce Lewis shot 2-over on Monday to give Tennessee its final counting round, finishing the tournament 8-over and tied for 44th place.

Laurent Desmarchais was Tennessee's fifth-highest finisher, shooting 11-over and tying for 58th place.

Cade Russell, competing as an individual, tied with Desmarchais in 58th place at 11-over—shooting 4-over for the second consecutive round.

Also competing as an individual, Trenton Johnson tied for 72nd place. Johnson shot 13-over in round one, but rebounded to close out the tournament with back-to-back rounds of 2-over.
