Lady Vols Wrap Up First Regatta of Spring Season

OAK RIDGE, Tenn. – No. 20 Tennessee rowing wrapped up its first regatta of the spring season with six races on day two of the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invite.

The Lady Vols competed against No. 14 Duke and Navy in five of the races. UT earned second-place finishes in two of the events. The 1V8 boat recorded a time of 6:30.839, coming up just four seconds short of the Blue Devils for first. The Lady Vol 2V8 crossed the finish line in 6:43.982. In the 3V8 race, Tennessee posted a time of 7:06.773, while the 4V8 boat finished in 7:26.215.

UT took third in both V4 events, as the 1V4 notched a 7:33.162 mark followed by the 2V4's time of 7:57.861.

Up next, the Lady Vols will travel to Charlottesville for the Virginia Invitational on Saturday, March 26. The competition will begin at 8 a.m.
