Vols Finish Sixth at Cabo Collegiate

CABO SAN LUCAS, Mexico – The 10th-ranked Tennessee men's golf team concluded play at the Cabo Collegiate Tuesday, finishing in sixth place of the tournament's stacked field.

The Vols shot a three-round total of 21-under, including 10-under during Tuesday's final round. Finishing in sixth place of the 15-team field, Tennessee finished in front of three top-10 teams.

Bryce Lewis was Tennessee's highest finisher at the event, posting three sub-70 rounds. Lewis' 6-under 65 on Tuesday was his best round of the tournament, propelling him to a seventh-place finish and 10-under final score. Lewis now has recorded five career top-10 finishes, including two straight.

Through two spring tournaments, Lewis has now carded six consecutive sub-70 rounds.

Tennessee's second-highest finisher, Jake Hall also posted three rounds of par or better, finishing tied for 29th place with a three-round score of 4-under. Dating to the fall, Hall has shot par or better in 15 of the 18 rounds he has played, either as a member of Tennessee's lineup or as an individual.

Redshirt senior Tyler Johnson shot his second straight round of par or better on Tuesday, carding an even 71 and finishing 3-under for the tournament, tying for 31st place.

Senior Spencer Cross shot 1-under during round three, finishing with an even par score. Cross tied for 42nd place.

Hunter Wolcott finished the tournament in 68th place, shooting 8-over over three rounds.

Tennessee is back in action next in just over two weeks at the National Invitational Tournament in Tucson, Arizona—contested on Friday, March 18 and Saturday, March 19.
