Vols Collect ITA All-Academic Honors

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – After finishing the 2020-21 season ranked fourth nationally on the court, the program's highest season-end ranking since 2011, the Tennessee men's tennis team also excelled in the classroom as seven Volunteers were named Scholar-Athletes, the ITA announced Wednesday.
Joel Gamerov, Mark Wallner, Trey Stinchcomb, Adam Walton, Luca Wiedenmann, Coy Simon and Andrew Rogers each earned ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition, which is given to student-athletes who posted a GPA of 3.50 or better while earning a varsity letter.
It is Wiedenmann's fifth time receiving the Scholar-Athlete award and the third honor for Rogers. Wallner and Walton each receive the honor for the second time. The Vols earned a team GPA of 3.47 during the 2020-21 academic year.
