FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Following a week away, the third-ranked Tennessee men's tennis team returns to action for an Easter Sunday matinee matchup with SEC foe, No. 39 Arkansas. First serve from the Billingsley Tennis Center is slated for 2 p.m. ET.

LAST TIME OUT
Last time out, the Vols battled past Kentucky in a thrilling, 4-3, match inside the Goodfriend Tennis Center. Despite falling at No. 1 doubles and No.'s 1, 2 and 3 singles, UT dominated at the bottom portions of both lineups to pull out its eighth SEC victory.
After winning the doubles point, graduate student Luca Wiedenmann and senior Mark Wallner traded singles victories with Kentucky to put Tennessee up, 3-2, with two matches on court.
After battling through a first set tiebreak, graduate student Giles Hussey won the final three games to knock off No. 84 Joshua Lapadat, 7-6(3), 6-2 to clinch match point at 4-2.
SCOUTING ARKANSAS
Tennessee leads the all-time series with Arkansas, 27-15, dating to 1973, with victories in 13 of the last 15 meetings between the programs.
Arkansas enters Sunday's match with one ranked doubles pair, with the duo of Enrique Paya and Hunter Harrison holding the No. 39 spot in the ITA's top-80.
The Razorbacks also come into the Easter Sunday matchup off a tough, 6-1, loss at home to Georgia on Friday. After claiming the doubles point, Arkansas fell at all six singles spots.
A victory over Arkansas on Friday would not only be the Vols ninth SEC victory, but it would clinch a double-bye to the quarterfinal round of the SEC Tournament, April 19-23.
ROAD TRIPS PROVIDE STRONG OPPOSITION
Sunday's match will be Tennessee's 11th and final road trip of the 2021 regular season. It will also be the Vols 11th contest away from Knoxville against a ranked opponent.
Eight of those 10 previous matches have come against teams inside the top-25, five in the top-10 and three inside the top-5 of the ITA team rankings.
HUSSEY HITTING HIS STRIDE
Giles Hussey is currently riding a four-match win streak, with three of those wins coming in straight sets, while clinching a pair of match points against Auburn (3/12/21) and Kentucky (3/28/21).
His 3-0 overall record in doubles and singles earned Hussey the SEC's Player of the Week award for the second time this season.
In the, 4-3, victory over Kentucky, Hussey and doubles partner Mark Wallner clinched the doubles point with a 6-3 victory on court three, before Hussey activated his clutch gene on court five to clinch match point in singles play.
