Women’s Golf Central: The Ally

WEST POINT, Miss. – The Tennessee women's golf team is set to wrap up fall competition this week at The Ally, hosted by Mississippi State and scheduled to run Monday-Wednesday, Oct. 25-27.
The Ally's field consists of 12 teams and will serve as the Lady Vols' fifth and final fall tournament. Last season, Tennessee finished The Ally tied for sixth of 15 teams at +6 (870).
Of the 12 teams set to compete this week, six are ranked inside Golfweek's top 25.
LADY VOLS' LINEUP
Bailey Davis
Freshman Davis is coming off a season-best performance at the Jim West Challenge last week, finishing the event tied for 17th at -4 (212). She logged three rounds of par or better, including the first two under-par rounds (69,71) of her collegiate career.
Vanessa Gilly
Gilly, a sophomore, shot 5-over, 221, at the Jim West Challenge to finish tied for 47th. The Ally will mark her 14th collegiate tournament appearance. Last season, she carded her first career-top-10 finish (T7) at The Ally, in what was just her second collegiate tournament.
Hadley Walts
Last time out, Walts shot +18, 234, at the Jim West Challenge. The senior from Evansville, Ind. will compete in the 13th tournament of her career this week.
Nicole Whiston
Geared up for her 22nd career tournament is Whiston, who logged a T71 finish (+18) at the Jim West Challenge.
Kayla Holden
Holden, a sophomore from Coral Springs, Fla., rounds out Tennessee's lineup, having played in three tournaments this season and logging one top-25 finish.
