Davis Leads Lady Vols on Day One of The Ally

WEST POINT, Miss. – The Tennessee women's golf team completed the first round of The Ally on Monday, with freshman Bailey Davis standing in the top 15 after 18 holes.
Davis, the White Plains, Maryland, native logged a fourth consecutive round of par or better, carding a 70 (-2) and stands tied for 13th following the opening round.
Sophomore Vanessa Gilly made birdies on three of her first four holes of the day, including two consecutive birdies on the 12th and 13th holes, wrapping up her day tied for 41st at 2-over, 74.
Senior Hadley Walts and sophomore Kayla Holden each carded a 78 (+6), leaving them tied for 62nd place with two rounds to go.
Nicole Whiston, a junior, stands in 67th place, shooting 7-over, 79. Overall, the Lady Vols are in 11th as a team entering Tuesday's second round.
