September 25, 2020 | Women's Tennis
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Entering her fifth year as the women's tennis head coach on Rocky Top, Alison Ojeda and the Lady Vols released the 2020 fall schedule on Friday.
The Southeastern Conference announced that its tennis programs are allowed to compete in up to three team events beginning no earlier than October 1. SEC tennis teams will be limited to events involving only SEC members or non-conference teams from the geographic region of the SEC school.
The Lady Vols will open the fall slate with a trip to Nashville on October 10 for the Music City Scramble. UT will join Auburn, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt at the Currey Tennis Center two days of competition.
UT will then host Georgia, South Carolina and Vanderbilt inside the Goodfriend Tennis Center on October 16-18 for the UT Fall Invite. Fans will not be permitted at the event.
Ojeda's Lady Vols close out the fall season with a three-day return trip to Vanderbilt for the June Stewart Invitational beginning on October 30. UT will face Auburn, Kentucky and Vanderbilt in the Music City.
The Lady Vols concluded the 2020 spring season with a 10-3 (1-2 SEC) mark, going undefeated at home before the COVID-19 global health crisis canceled the remainder of the schedule.
