Diving Central: NCAA Zone B Championships

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee travels down to Athens, Ga., for the NCAA Zone B Diving Championships as divers around the region compete for positions at the NCAA Championships.
The meet runs Monday through Wednesday at Georgia's Gabrielson Natatorium. Admission to the Zone Diving Championships is free and live scoring will be available on Divemeets.com.
There are 101 men and women registered to compete over the three days, representing 13 schools. Teams participating include: Tennessee, Alabama, Auburn, Duke, Florida Atlantic, Florida Gulf Coast, Florida State, Florida, Georgia Tech, Georgia, Miami, North Carolina and South Carolina.
The women divers from Zone B will be competing for seven spots at NCAAs in both the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard diving events and eight spots on platform. The men have 10 open slots at NCAAs on 1-meter and eight available spots on 3-meter and platform.
On the women's side, Grace Cable, Ana Celaya Hernandez, Kara Holt, Elle Renner and Emily Ann Wolfson will compete for the Lady Vols. The men will have Will Hallam, Keegan Richardson and Matthew Wade in competition.
Last season, Hallam reached NCAAs on all three boards while Wade made it on the 3-meter springboard.
If a diver qualifies in one event, they can compete at NCAAs if they finish in the top 12 in other eligible events.
