Men's Golf Central: Blessings Collegiate Invitational
October 04, 2020 | Men's Golf
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee men's golf team is set to open the fall season this week, traveling west to Fayetteville, Ark. to compete in the inaugural Blessings Collegiate Invitational.
Â
The three-round tournament, which is set to receive four hours of live coverage per day on Golf Channel from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. EST, begins Monday and concludes on Wednesday. It marks the first televised event for the 2020-21 college golf season.
Â
The unique tournament field features the men's and women's programs from all 14 SEC schools.
Â
Due to COVID-19 protocols and guidelines, each program will play solely within their own block of players. Rather than competing in groups of four with one player from four different schools, each team will play in groups of five featuring all five of its participating student-athletes.
Â
The Blessings Collegiate Invitational marks Tennessee's first action since winning the Lamkin Grips San Diego Classic nearly seven months ago.
