KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The 18th-ranked Tennessee men's tennis team continues its homestand Monday with a doubleheader against Penn at 10 a.m. and The Citadel at 3 p.m. from the Goodfriend Tennis Center.
Admission is free to all regular-season matches and parking is available in Lot N-12 which is located at the corner of Lake Avenue and Volunteer Boulevard. Live results will be available for the match by visiting the men's tennis schedule page on utsports.com or on Twitter (@vol_tennis).
Tennessee's clear bag policy will be in effect.
UT opened the eight-match homestand Saturday with a 7-0 sweep of New Mexico which saw No. 23 Adam Walton, senior Luca Wiedenmann and graduate transfer Giles Hussey continue their hot starts to the dual match season.
Walton and Hussey have played doubles and singles in the Vols' first three matches and both players are a combined 6-0 with three wins apiece in doubles and singles. Wiedenmann checks in at 3-0 in singles and has cruised to match wins of 6-1, 6-0 and 6-0, 6-3. The Munich, Germany native picked up a ranked win against Oklahoma's No. 116 Jochen Bertsch 6-3, 5-7, 6-4 which clinched the match win for the Vols over the 22nd-ranked Sooners.
Tennessee (3-0) continued its fast starts against New Mexico on Saturday as it won the doubles point on courts two and three. Through its first three matches, UT has yet to drop a doubles point. In singles, the Vols dispatched the Lobos in two sets on five of six courts with Walton clinching the match on court one.
SCOUTING THE QUAKERS
Much like New Mexico, Penn will play its first match of the season against Tennessee. The Quakers bring the nation's 88th-ranked player to Knoxville in Kevin Zhu, who reached the ITA Northeast Regional semifinal in the fall.
Last season, Penn went 18-10 overall and 2-5 in Ivy League play. This will be the first-ever meeting between the Vols and Quakers.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
Tennessee will be the second ranked opponent and the second SEC school The Citadel has faced to open the 2020 dual match season. The Bulldogs dropped a pair of matches to South Carolina on Jan. 10, falling 7-0 in each.
Despite the early season losses, The Citadel's lineup is packed with experience as it returns 10 players from last season, including Gavin Stewart and Phillip Quinn who each secured a team-high 15 wins a year ago.
UT is 14-0 all-time against The Citadel, including a 7-0 sweep of the Bulldogs last season.

The Big Orange open against Arizona State on Jan. 25 and will then play either Oklahoma State or Columbia on Jan. 26.
