Nevin into Top Five as Vols Move Up on Carpet Capital Leaderboard

Senior Rhys Nevin cards a second round of 69 (-3) to move into a tie for fourth on the individual leaderboard
DALTON, Ga. – In the second round of the Carpet Capital Collegiate, No. 16/18 Tennessee jumped up two spots on the leaderboard.
The Vols got off to a quick start as at the turn they had the best round on the course at 2-under-par. At that point, Tennessee had moved up five spots on the leaderboard.

Senior Rhys Nevin once again had the low score on the course for the Vols, shooting a second round of 69 (-3) to move into the top five on the leaderboard. The Cheshire, England native had a bogey-free first 12 holes of his round including a pair of birdies. After her first bogey, Nevin recovers to birdie three of the final five holes.
His round was tied for the third lowest on the course.

He enters the final round of the tournament tied for fourth and in search of his second consecutive top-10 finish in the tournament.

Juniors Hunter Wolcott and Spencer Cross also made moves up the individual leaderboard on Saturday. Wolcott, who shaved three strokes off his score from the opening round, jumped up 10 spots and is tied for 30th.

Cross, who was two strokes better on Saturday, went up seven places on the individual leaderboard and is tied for 33rd entering Sunday's final round.
Tennessee (+22) will tee off the final round tomorrow at 9:24 a.m. ET off No. 10. The Vols will be paired with San Francisco (+25) and Florida (+27) who are 11th and 12th, respectively.
