Â
LAST TIME OUT: The Vols wrapped up their northeast road trip with a convincing 3-0 victory at Columbia in New York City. Isabella Cook, Michelle Alozie and Alicia Donley scored goals for the Big Orange, while Lindsey Romig recorded her first collegiate goalkeeper win with 76 minutes between the posts.
Â
Tennessee has out-possessed each of its four opponents this season, continuing that trend with a 59-41 edge against Columbia.
Â
BOUNCED BACK: Coming off a narrow 1-0 defeat at Rutgers, UT responded with a victory in typical Tennessee fashion. Since 2016, The Vols own a 13-3-1 (.794) record coming off a loss and have not suffered back-to-back losses since October of 2017.
Â
RANKINGS UPDATE: Tennessee fell to No. 20 in the latest edition of the United Soccer Coaches national poll released on Tuesday. The Vols were also selected No. 14 in the most recent TopDrawerSoccer.com women's college rankings.
Â
Tennessee has been ranked inside the top-25 of the United Soccer Coaches national rankings for a program-record 26 consecutive polls, dating to Sept. 19, 2017 - a span of 715 days.
Â
ROLLING IN THE DEPTH: Through four matches, Tennessee has seen seven different players score at least one goal in 2019. That mark ties with Arkansas and Alabama for second-most in the SEC behind South Carolina (8).
Â
HOME COOKIN': With Tennessee's 3-0 win over Mercer on Aug. 25, the Vols are currently riding a seven-game home winning streak dating to Oct. 18, 2018 - spanning 321 days.
Â
UT's seven-match home winning streak is the longest for the Vols since 2007. Tennessee went 9-0-0 at Regal Stadium that year, marking the only perfect home campaign in program history.
Â
SERIES HISTORY: Thursday's match will be Tennessee's first against Southeastern Louisiana and UT's first matchup against a current member of the Southland Conference.
Â
SCOUTING SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA: The Lions (1-1-1) are coming off their first win of the young 2019 season, a 4-0 rout over Jackson State. Freshman forward Ellie Williams scored a brace in the victory.
Â
Coming off a 7-7-4 2018 campaign, Southeastern Louisiana returns a pair of all-conference honorable mention performers in defender Claire Huston and midfielder Megan Gordon. The Lions also bring back experience in goal with Nadine Maher, who ranked second in the Southland Conference last season with 92 saves to go along with a 1.08 goals-against average.
Â
UP NEXT: Tennessee will conclude its two-match home stand as the Cincinnati Bearcats visit Knoxville on Sunday afternoon, Sept. 8. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Regal Soccer Stadium.
