Walton Advances to Finals at M15 Champaign Futures Tournament

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Adam Walton picked up his seventh win of the fall as he advanced to the finals of the M15 Champaign Futures tournament on Saturday.
Walton met Matheus Pucinelli De Almedia of Brazil in the semifinal, falling behind in the match after dropping the first set, 4-6. He rallied back in the second, winning 6-3, before taking the final set, 6-3, clinching a spot in his first professional final.
The Home Hill, Australia native will meet Axel Geller in the finals on Sunday. Geller currently plays at Stanford and reached the finals of the Wimbledon and U.S. Open junior championships in 2017 and ranked as the ITF's No. 1 junior player at the end of the 2017 season.
Geller defeated Aleksander Kovacevic, 6-4, 6-4, to earn his way into the final.
