Both Tennessee Doubles Teams Advance to Finals at Crimson Tide Four-In-The-Fall

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Both of Tennessee's doubles teams won twice on Friday, advancing to the finals of their respective brackets at the Crimson Tide Four-In-The-Fall.
In the Crimson bracket, Jordan Chrysostom and Martim Prata defeated Lukas Engelhardt and Tim Sandkaulen from Ole Miss, 8-6, in the opening round before knocking off South Alabama's Loic Cloes and Clement Marzol, 8-4. The pairing will face Alexey Nesterov/Riccardo Roberto from Alabama in Sunday's doubles final.
Over in the Houndstooth bracket, Mason Meier and Finn Stodder beat Alabama's Marcelo Sepulveda Garza and Avi Shugar, 8-6, and Ole Miss' Jan Soren Hain/Simon Junk, 8-5, to reach the finals. They will square off against UAB's Michal Lusovsky and Roman Postolka.
Tennessee's foursome went 2-2 in singles play with Stodder and Chrysostom earning their first collegiate wins. Stodder met Tulane's Dane Esses in his first round match up in the Crimson draw, rallying for the three-set victory, 2-6, 6-4, 6-2.
Chrysostom defeated Henry Lovett of Tulane in three sets, 6-3, 4-6, 7-5, in the Houndstooth draw. He will play Junk on Saturday while Stodder will meet Sandkaulen. Both matches begin at 10 a.m. ET with the winner advancing to the semifinal round which will be played on Saturday afternoon.
Prata fell to Roberto, 6-7 (3), 2-6, in the Crimson draw and Meier dropped his match against Mark Mandlik, 6-1, 6-1, in the Houndstooth bracket.
The Crimson Tide Four-In-The-Fall continues on Saturday with the quarterfinal and semifinal singles rounds, beginning at 10 a.m. ET.
