Lady Vols Collect Doubles Wins at June Stewart & Texas Invitationals

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee women's tennis team notched a pair of doubles wins in day two of the June Stewart and Texas Invitationals.
Freshman Callie Creath and junior Tenika McGiffin split their doubles matches on Saturday at the Texas Invitational. The duo fell, 6-2, to Texas A&M's Faa-Hviding/Anzo before coming back to defeat Texas' Gabby Cusano and Tijana Spasojevic, 6-2.
At the June Stewart Invitational, the sophomore pair of Julie Ball and Kylie Duckworth notched an 8-7 (5) win over MTSU's Barnard/Mauro.
In singles play, Ball recorded her second win in as many matches, defeating MTSU's Marta Peris Herrero in three sets (2-6, 7-6, 6-2).
