Mertena Advances in ITA All-Americans Qualifying

TULSA, Okla. – Rebeka Mertena and Kaitlin Staines began play in the ITA Women's All-American Championships qualifying singles bracket on Monday, Oct. 7.
Mertena opened the day with a two-set win (6-3, 6-2) over Thasaporn Naklo of Iowa State. She will continue in the qualifying bracket on Tuesday.
Staines fell to Nebraska's Claire Reifeis in three sets (1-6, 6-1, 6-4). She will move to the consolation bracket.
