KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Coming off back-to-back wins, the Tennessee swimming and diving team is set to host No. 2/4 Virginia at home at the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center for a top 25 showdown Saturday at 11 a.m.
Admission for this meet and all regular season meets is free, but Tennessee's clear bag policy will be in effect. The competition begins with the 200 medley relay followed by the 1,000 free and the beginning of the men's 3-meter dive and the women's 1-meter. Live results will be available through the Meet Mobile app.
Both the Vols and Lady Vols enter the meet ranked in the TYR/CSCAA Top 25 poll at No. 15 for the women and No. 16 for the men. Virginia's women are 2nd-ranked nationally and the men are fourth in the nation.
At the 2019 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, Tennessee's women finished eighth while Virginia placed sixth, just three points ahead of the Lady Vols. On the men's side, UVA came in 10th, one point ahead of UT which finished 11th.

AGAINST VIRGINIA
Tennessee and Virginia have met in three of the last four seasons with the UT men winning twice, but the women falling in each meet. Last season, the Vols and Cavaliers met in Charlottesville which saw UVA win the men's and women's competition. As two of the top teams in the nation a year ago, Saturday will be a good early season measuring stick as UT and UVA move deeper into the year.
