Staines and McGiffin Defeat No. 3 Pair in Nation

TULSA, Okla. – The Tennessee women's tennis duo of Kaitlin Staines and Tenika McGiffin won their match on Friday to advance to the ITA All-Americans doubles semifinal.
Staines/McGiffin defeated Jones/Morra, the No. 2 seed and No. 3 ranked pair in the nation, of UNC 8-5. This is the duos' third-straight top-25 win in as many matches and first victory over a top-10 team on the ITA list.
In the singles consolation draw, Rebeka Mertena fell to Oklahoma State's Ayumi Miyamoto 6-3, 7-5.
