"The end result was to try to get to Chicago for the national team indoors, but at the same time, this tournament got our season going last year. We take away positives today. It was really imperative that we get out of here 1-1. I'm proud of the team for showing their resiliency for coming back after losing a close match to Tulane. We struggled in some spots yesterday and made some adjustments today. We talked about some changes that are going to stick with the program. Overall, it was a good
team effort, and I'm glad we got out of here as a group 1-1.
"I'm really happy Martim was able to get in. He's been working hard and he can really help us going forward, particularly outside. He's got a really good game and glad he could come through and play in a match that really mattered because we needed his point. I'm looking forward to watching him grow. I'm really proud of all the young guys. Pat Harper played well yesterday in the doubles and helped us get that point. It's important for the young guys play and get some experience."
