Softball Meet & Greet Set for February 2

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee softball's eighth annual Meet and Greet will take place at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium on Saturday, February 2.
The event will run from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will include a wide array of activities for fans to enjoy. The Meet and Greet will include players giving tours of the complex, a kid's carnival, open batting cages and seat location selection for season tickets if available. The kids carnival will feature face painting, poster making, chalk art and inflatables.
During the second hour, Lady Vol softball co-head coaches Ralph and Karen Weekly will address the fans and introduce this year's team. An autograph session with the players will follow in the batting cage.
Tennessee's practice from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. will also be open to the public.
For fans still needing to purchase tickets, ticket office representatives will be available from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Fans can purchase new season tickets if available or review their current season ticket location.
The Lady Vols are coming off a 48-14 season where they reached their 14th consecutive NCAA Regional and hosted a regional for the 13th straight year. Tennessee returns 14 players from last season's team including All-SEC first team selection and All-American Aubrey Leach and SEC All-Freshmen selections Amanda Ayala and Ashley Morgan. The Big Orange welcome six exciting newcomers to this year's team.
Tennessee kicks off its 2019 season with a doubleheader against UIC and Coastal Carolina on Feb. 8 at the Kickin' Chicken Classic in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The Lady Vols' home opener is slated for February 22 when they open the Tennessee Classic against Kansas at Parker Lee Stadium. The Lady Vols begin SEC play on the road against Florida from March 8-10 and open SEC play at home against Arkansas on Friday, March 22.
