Lady Vols travel to Greensboro for the third tournament of the fall schedule
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The University of Tennessee women's golf team readies for its third tournament of the fall scheduled, heading to Greensboro, N.C. for the Starmount Classic.
The tournament hosted by University of North Carolina-Greensboro is scheduled to begin with 36 holes on Monday at the Starmount Country Club.
The Lady Vols will look to build on their fifth place finish at the Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate two weeks ago. With the help of three players inside of the top-25 on the leaderboard, Tennessee remained in contention throughout the tournament.
Those three players in freshman Mikayla Bardwell, sophomore Waverly Whiston and sophomore Mariah Smith were rewarded for their performances by head coach Judi Pavon. Bardwell, Whiston and Smith anchor the top of the lineup this week with freshman Malia Stovall and junior Micheala Williams joining them in the No. 4 and 5 spots, respecitively.
Senior Ariana Macioce and redshirt senior Haley Wagner will also travel this week as they will both compete as individuals in Greensboro.
Tomorrow's first round is scheduled to start at 8:30 a.m. (ET) with the Lady Vols paired with UNC-Greensboro and Troy on day one.
