KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The University of Tennessee women's golf team leads the Starmount Fall Classic by 13 strokes after two rounds of play in Greensboro, N.C.
Backed by all five players in the lineup in the top 20 of the individual leaderboard, the Lady Vols distanced themselves from the field in the second round carding the lowest team score in the field. Entering the second round with an eight stroke lead on the 15-team field, Tennessee turned in a score of 291, stretching their lead on the field to 13 strokes.
In her second tournament in the lineup, freshman Malia Stovall enters tomorrow's final round at Starmount Country Club with a one shot lead on the individual leaderboard. She was the only player in the field to card two rounds under-par and at one point sat a 6-under-par.

Coach's Take
On Malia Stovall's day:
"Malia has been hitting the ball really well for the last 10 days or so and giving herself a lot of good birdie opportunities. She continued that on all day today. She also made some good up and downs for par saves." – Coach Judi Pavon
On staying aggressive in round three:
"We made a lot of mistakes today so, we are going to try to clean those up in round three tomorrow."-- Coach Judi Pavon
