STILLWATER, Okla. – Tennessee sophomore Micheala Williams will represent the Lady Vols this week in Stillwater, Oklahoma, as she competes as an individual in the NCAA Championship. The tournament will take place Friday, May 18, through Wednesday, May 23, but the individual medalist will be crowned after 72 holes of stroke play.
The tournament will be held at Karsten Creek (par 72, 6,328 yards), a Tom Fazio-designed course that has hosted two NCAA Championships in the past (2003 and 2011).
Williams enters the championship with seven rounds of par or better and a team-leading five top-25 finishes. The Athens, Alabama, native also leads the squad with a 74.39 stroke average through 11 tournaments this season.
