KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – After a three-week hiatus, Tennessee will return to the links, traveling to Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., for the 27th-annual John Hayt Invitational.
The tournament will be played Sunday and Monday at Sawgrass Country Club's 6,966-yard, par-72 course. The Vols will tee off at 8:25 a.m. ET on Sunday, and Monday's tee times will be determined by the results of Sunday's play.
This season's 15-team field for the tournament includes the host school No. 25 North Florida, along with No. 7 Auburn, No. 24 North Carolina, Purdue, Washington, West Virginia, Louisville, UCF, Furman, Liberty, Jacksonville, Lipscomb, North Texas and Coastal Carolina.
This season's appearance at the tournament marks the 24th straight year that Tennessee has competed in the event.
Tennessee enters the tournament coming off of a strong showing at the Southwestern Invitational, in which it placed third as a team. The third-place finish was the Vols' sixth top-five finish of the season.
Lorenzo Scalise notched a second-place finish, good for his fifth career top-five finish. Brayden Garrison came in at 12th place, the second highest of his Tennessee career.

- This season's appearance at the John Hayt Invitational marks Tennessee's 24th straight and 25th overall.
- The Vols' streak of appearing at the tournament every year dates back to the 1995 season. Tennessee also competed in the event in 1993.
- Tennessee's highest ever team finish at the John Hayt Invitational is second-place, which happened on three separate occasions – 1993, 1996 and 2002.
- The highest ever individual finish by a Tennessee golfer- at the tournament also came in 1996, when Jamie Neher tied for second with a score of 2-under 214.
- Last season, Tennessee finished in eighth place (21-over 885). Rhys Nevin was the Vols' highest finishing individual, tying for ninth overall (2-over 218).
- Vols senior Lorenzo Scalise continued his strong spring with another solid showing at the Southwestern Invitational.
- Scalise's secondplace finish at the Southwestern Invitational was his fifth career top-five finish and his three rounds of par or better brought his season total to a team-leading 15.
- Scalise leads Tennessee in several categories, including top-five finishes (3), percentage of rounds counted (94.44) and average strokes per round (70.44 overall, 69.67 in the spring).
- Tennessee's third-place finish at the Southwestern invitational pushed head coach Jim Kelson over 2,000 wins for his time in Knoxville.
- In his 20th season at UT, Kelson now sits at 2,008-1,391-55 in his time coaching the Vols.
- Kelson is aided by third-year director of instruction/player development Sean Pacetti.
- In addition to Scalise's showing at the Southwestern Invitational, Brayden Garrison also turned in a solid performance. Garrison shot 3-over 219 through three rounds and finished tied for 12th place, the second highest finish of his UT career.
- Tennessee's freshmen trio of Sean Wilcox (redshirt freshman), Spencer Cross, and Chase Roswall have continued a strong inaugural campaign, with 19 rounds of par or better and four top-10 finishes between them. The freshmen have had combined 72.2 percent of their rounds counted during the fall and spring seasons.
- Two Vols are among the top 200 in the Golfweek Men's Collegiate Individual Rankings: Lorenzo Scalise (26th, 69.28 rating) and Rhys Nevin (90th, 70.36).
