Tennessee is set to take on tournament site host Washington State on Saturday for the right to advance to the Sweet 16
PULLMAN, Wash. – No. 19 University of Tennessee volleyball team continues its postseason run as it is set to matchup with No. 19 Washington State.
The Lady Vols (26-5, 16-2 Southeastern Conference) come off the heels of a come-from-behind victory over Colorado State in the opening round. Tennessee trailed 2-0 sets before taking the final three to advance to the second round of the tournament.
Washington State (22-9, 12-8 PAC-12 Conference) defeated Northern Arizona in four sets Friday night. The Cougars enter their match with the Lady Vols ranked second in opponent hitting percentage in the PAC-12 at a .191 mark. Against the Lumberjacks, they held them to just a .180 hitting percentage on the night and a .068 mark in the fourth set.

POSTSEASON HISTORY
Tennessee will be making their 10th appearance all-time in the NCAA Tournament second round and its first since 2011. Tennessee now has a 14-14 all-time in the NCAA Tournament after the win over Colorado State on Friday.

FRESHMAN FIRST
With her double-double in her NCAA Tournament debut, Lily Felts became the first Tennessee freshman since Kelsey Mahoney in 2008 to record a double-double. Felts finished with a team-high and new career-high 19 kills to go along with 15 digs which tied her career high.
500 BLOCK CLUB
Erica Treiber enters Saturday's match with 502 blocks in her Tennessee career. She is just one of four players to achieve this in their Lady Vol career. The Unionville, Mich. native has recorded four or more blocks in her last three matches including six in the win on Friday night.
SCHUMACHER
Brooke Schumacher entered the top 5 in digs at No. 23 Missouri on Nov. 14. She currently needs two more digs to tie Kylie Marshall (2006-09) for fourth place at 1,374 career digs.
NEXT UP
If the Lady Vols advance to the third round of the NCAA Tournament, they will take on the winner of Stanford and Loyola Marymount next weekend. The Stanford Cardinal entered tournament play as the No. 1 overall seed.
If they were to win against Loyola Marymount, the Cardinal will host the sweet 16 and elite eight rounds in Palo Alto, Calif.
