SOCCER CENTRAL: Arizona (NCAA Second Round)

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The 10th-ranked and second-seeded Tennessee Volunteers continue NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Championship play this weekend, hosting the second and third rounds of the tournament at Regal Soccer Stadium. UT will face the Arizona Wildcats in a second-round matchup Friday evening, with kickoff slated for 5 p.m.

WEEKEND SCHEDULE: Texas A&M (16-4-1) will take on TCU (13-4-3) Friday, Nov. 16 at 2 p.m., followed by Tennessee (14-2-3) versus Arizona (13-5-2) at 5 p.m. Friday evening. The winners of those two matchups will advance to the third-round game, slated for 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 18. Gates will open at 1 p.m. Friday and 4 p.m. Sunday.

TICKET INFO: Second and third round round tickets are on sale through AllVols.com or by calling the Athletic Ticket Office during regular business hours (Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.) at (865) 656-1200. All-Session packages are available for $25 for the general public and $15 for all students. Single-Session tickets are also available for $15 and $10. The first 100 UT students in the gate will receive free admission with a valid student ID.

FIRST ROUND WRAPUP: Tennessee rallied past Louisville 2-1 last week in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament, as senior striker Bunny Shaw scored a pair of goals in the final 15 minutes of play. Shaw's game-winner was her seventh of the season, tying her own program record that she set in 2017.

BUNNY TABBED TDS TEAM OF THE WEEK: For the third time this season, Tennessee senior Bunny Shaw has been named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com National Team of the Week. Shaw's brace helped the Vols rally past Louisville 2-1, scoring goals in the 75th and 86th minutes to lift UT to victory.

UT'S NCAA HISTORY: The Vols enter Friday's match with a 12-9-3 record in the NCAA Tournament, seeking their first Sweet 16 appearance since 2007. Tennessee has reached the Sweet 16 five times in program history (2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007) across 12 appearances in the tournament.

SCOUTING ARIZONA: The Wildcats finished tied for fifth in the Pac-12 standings under sixth-year head coach Tony Amato. Senior goalkeeper Lainey Burdett, sophomore midfielder Amanda Porter and sophomore forward Jada Talley were each named third team all-conference, while rookie midfielder Emily Knous was selected to the All-Freshman team following the regular season.

Arizona scored three goals in the second half to defeat Denver 3-0 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, clinching their fourth second-round appearance in program history.

SERIES HISTORY: Friday's match will be the fourth meeting between Tennessee and Arizona, as the Vols trail 1-2-0 in the all-time series. The programs last met on Sept. 12, 2010 at the Sun Devil Desert Classic (Tempe, Ariz.) where the Wildcats came out on top 3-1.
UP NEXT: The winner from Tennessee versus Arizona will go on to face the winner between No. 3 seed Texas A&M and TCU in a third-round match on Sunday, Nov. 18 at Regal Soccer Stadium. Kickoff for that matchup is scheduled for 5 p.m.
