VOLLEYBALL CENTRAL: at Mississippi State

STARKVILLE, Miss. – The University of Tennessee volleyball team travels to Starkville for a match-up with the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Sunday afternoon in Newell-Grissom Building.

The Lady Vols (20-5, 11-2 Southeastern Conference) are in the midst of the season-best six-game winning streak, sweeping the last three weekends in conference play. The streak, which is the second longest in the SEC, has helped them move into a tie for second place in the standings.

Mississippi State (5-21, 1-12 SEC) has dropped the last 10 matches entering their Sunday clash with Tennessee. The Bulldogs are coming off a 3-0 loss to No. 11 Kentucky Friday night. Their lone win in conference came at home over Auburn as they came from two sets down to win 3-2 on Sept. 26.

The match will air on SEC Network+ with the first serve scheduled for 2:00 p.m. (ET) in Starkville, Miss.

Senior Erica Treiber enters the match with a career hitting percentage of .358 which is just .001 away from the best mark in school history held by Beverly Robinson (.358 percent). Treiber has been helped by a career-best .402 hitting percentage this season which includes four-straight matches of a .400 or better hitting percentage.

University of Tennessee volleyball team picked up its 20th win of the season against Texas A&M.
- Junior Tessa Grubbs led the way with a game-high 18 kills including the match clincher over the Aggies at 25-19 in the fourth set. She finished the night hitting .361 in the match as she was one of four players who hit .300 or higher (minimum 10 total attacks).

Tennessee was led by freshman Lily Felts' fifth-straight double-digit kill match en route to the Lady Vols first sweep in conference. The team also totaled its highest service ace output of the SEC season with six in the match.

In the last six matches, Tessa Grubbs has averaged 4.80 kills/set while averaging 20+ kills over the last four matches. During that time, Grubbs has moved up 45 spots in the national rankings in kills/set as she currently is 42nd in the country.

Brooke Schumacher enters the match needing 15 digs to tie Amy Morris (2003-05) for fifth in program history with 1,338 digs. Over the last three matches, the senior has racked up 47 digs with double-digit dig outings in all three matches.

TREIBER
Treiber is the only Power-5 player to rank in the top nine in their conference in hitting percentage (.402/2nd SEC), blocks/set (1.03/6th) and aces/set (0.37/5th).

Her 36 service aces this season is the most by any Tennessee player since 2011 and the fourth most by any Lady Vol in the rally scoring era (2001-present).

NEXT UP
Tennessee continues its three-game road stretch at No. 24 Missouri on Wednesday evening. The Lady Vols defeated the Tigers in five sets earlier this season inside of Thompson-Boling Arena. Missouri currently sits a half game behind Tennessee in the SEC standings with a record of 11-3 entering its Sunday match with Georgia.
